A futuristic brush with beauty
While the Mercedes-Benz brand has seen a complete makeover with a forward-thinking visionary vehicle, one Gold Coast-based creative arts school also has the future set in its sights.
Recently, Huxley School of Makeup partnered with Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast to create a glossy Mercedes-Benz EQC-inspired beauty shoot, with the futuristic concept inspired by the cutting-edge electric vehicle.
The visually bold campaign was designed to represent the people of the future, highlighting who they are and how they are living their best life.
Huxley School of Makeup students created a swathe of makeup looks for the studio shoot, which featured 20 different models from a range of diverse cultural backgrounds and ethnicities.
Director of Huxley School of Makeup, Michael Huxley loved the concept of ‘the people of the future’ and the ways in which the revolutionary EQC design inspired it.
“Our goal wasn’t to create a sci-fi alternative reality – although at Huxley anything is possible,” says Michael.
“Our students instead created aesthetics which represent both futuristic vibes and accessible elements.
“The world of the future is diverse and inclusive. Our models represented that ethos.
“We worked with over 20 different models to create the beauty shoot, representing different ethnicities, genders and people with disabilities.
“Our partnership has great synergy. Both Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast and Huxley School of Makeup have progressive values which encompass innovation, excellence and inclusion.”
The studio beauty shoot was just the first collaboration between Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast and the multi-award winning education provider.
Stay tuned for Huxley School of Makeup’s upcoming outdoor shoot featuring the all new Mercedes-Benz EQC.
