Sanctuary Cove and Hope Island

Coupling the best of resort living with the ultimate in boating lifestyle, Sanctuary Cove is an exclusive hamlet that demands its own postcode, even though it’s within the suburb of Hope Island.

It was created as a fully integrated tourism and residential resort with a maze of private waterways, luxuriant parklands, and championship golf courses, while the adjacent waterfront properties enjoy unmatched views of the Broadwater and islands safe from being built out.

The grounds and facilities reflect the enclave’s natural beauty and formal elegance, where giant gum trees overlook majestically manicured lawns.

Its paved terraces meander through delightful gardens and on to the waterfront past the InterContinental Resort’s stunning swimming pool to a one-acre, saltwater, sandy beach lagoon.

Sanctuary Cove offers a world of comfort, style, luxury and diversion from the growing buzz of South East Queensland.

The suburb of Hope Island has a longer history and was named after colonial aristocrat Captain Louis Hope, who was granted land at the mouth of the Coomera River in recognition of his contributions to developing the sugar industry in Queensland.

Perfectly positioned on the northern tip of the Gold Coast, Hope Island is a short distance from the Pacific Motorway (M1), only 50 minutes’ drive north to Brisbane city and 20 minutes south to Surfers Paradise.

Hope Island offers a marina, shops, restaurants, theme parks, public and private schools and three golf courses all within close proximity and is home to the Hope Island Resort and neighbouring Sanctuary Cove.

Community facilities include a harbour front dining and shopping precinct, deep water mooring facilities and some fabulous luxury housing.

Comprising what is often called the Gold Coast’s ‘North Shore’, Hope Island is just minutes away from Coomera’s Westfield Shopping centre, train stations, the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, Gold Coast City Marina, the Broadwater and South Stradbroke Island.
